Yoga for Infertility
Cary Med Spa and NCCRM Team Up with Anna Jefferson for Yoga for the Infertility Journey

Infertility can be an isolating experience and one that significantly challenges our relationships to our bodies physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Join others undergoing fertility treatments, struggling to conceive, recovering from losses, or exploring alternative family-building strategies. The workshop will focus on practices to manage the anxiety, confusion, negativity, and physical discomforts that plague a difficult journey to parenthood. We will focus on reconnecting with and nurturing our whole selves.
This two-hour workshop will include:
- Meditation and centering techniques;
- Breathwork for grounding and hormonal balance;
- Self-care strategies;
- Visualization and journaling; and
- A 75 to 90 minute yoga practice that includes poses for all stages of a cycle, including modifications for treatments. All levels of experience and fitness are welcome.
Participants will have the opportunity to socialize with each other at the end to help build community. The workshop is open to all partners and family compositions, including heterosexual and LGBTQ+ families.
Please bring something to write on and a yoga mat and props, if you have them; we will have a limited number of mats and props available to borrow.
Anna Jefferson is a veteran of five years of infertility, including five IVF cycles, Ayurvedic self-care, acupuncture, and a mind-body support group for infertility patients. She has been teaching yoga since 2009 in a variety of styles including vinyasa, Ashtanga, and hatha.
